Boonslick Community Development Corporation
The Boonslick Community Development Corporation (BCDC) seeks to hire its inaugural Director of Economic Development as part of a new community initiative to advance the economic interests of the citizens in the region.  While the community has funded a full-time economic development position for more than 30 years, this position offers the ideal candidate the chance to build and deliver an economic development program in a dynamic and diverse community under a new public/private construct.  The BCDC seeks candidates with initiative, sales abilities, creativity, and a track-record of retaining, expanding, and recruiting businesses and industries.  The ideal candidate is a people-person adept at building relationships, not bureaucracy.
 
Ideal candidates will have high energy, enthusiasm, and passion; strong communication skills, the ability to think globally, and act strategically while demonstrating the talent to tactfully negotiate and “close the deal”; a demonstrated ability to develop a broad network of contacts throughout the state and nation, and the skill to work with a wide variety of engaged stakeholders including City/County officials and staff, site-selection consultants, ED partners, brokers, developers, and local business owners; a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, real estate, economics, planning, economic development, or related disciplines is preferred; economic development certifications, such as CEcD (IEDC) or EDFP (NCD) preferred; three years of progressively responsible experience in strategic economic development, redevelopment, workforce development programming, and marketing or real estate is required; supervisory experience and strong budget and financial background and capacity; knowledge of the tools available to attract and draw businesses/industries to the central Missouri area; and a working knowledge of topics tangential to traditional economic development, such as entrepreneurial support, workforce development and housing. 
 
The position will report to the President of the BCDC and will serve as a liaison to various economic development-related Commissions and Boards as well as the Boonville City Council and the Cooper County Commissioners.  The Director of Economic Development will report to the BCDC governance board on a monthly basis.  Residency is preferred and a high level of community involvement is expected.  This is truly an opportunity to create an exceptional program.  The position is full-time with benefits.  Salary will be commensurate with experience.  This announcement will close July 31, 2019 or when the position is filled.

Coyote Hill, located in Harrisburg, is seeking House Parents.  The HP role is a full-time, on-site missionary position.  HPs typically begin by moving on-site as Relief HPs.  Relief HPs’ primary role is to provide care for children while HPs take time away, providing on-the-job training for transitioning into full-time HPs.
