What We Are Looking For

A full-time Class A OTR Company Driver to join the transportation team and will be primarily responsible for the delivery of fireworks from our Boonville, Missouri warehouse throughout the U.S. Our goal is to return our drivers to their home base each week (4-5 driving days per week during non-peak seasons expected). We anticipate a driver mileage range of 85,000-100,000+ miles per year. When not driving, the driver will support Spirit of ‘76’s overall mission and goals, based on their particular skills.

 

Qualifications

• At least 23 years of age

• 2+ years of CDL Class A experience required

• Valid commercial Class A Driver’s License required

• Current DOT Medical Card

• Current HazMat endorsement is required, but Spirit will assist in obtaining the necessary endorsement if needed

• Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., rider pallet jack, forklift, etc.) preferred

• Basic computer skills required

• Excellent communication skills and customer service acumen

This is a physically demanding position:

• Must be able to carry, pull, and/or lift up to 70 pounds

• Must be able to crouch, grasp, pull, kneel, stoop, and walk to perform certain job functions

• The incumbent will be exposed to hazardous fireworks materials
