We are looking for seasonal CDL drivers to join Team ‘76 to help us deliver fireworks joy and fun over the 4th of July holiday. Please note the home base for this position is Boonville, Missouri.

What We Are Looking For

Our Class A and B drivers provide a wide range of services, including fireworks container drayage and delivery of fireworks to our customers during our peak season operations (May 15 - July 10). Primarily, the position will entail the pickup and delivery of consumer fireworks to and from our Boonville, Missouri warehouse. Depending on the location of the delivery, some overnights may be required. Full-time, part-time, and on-call opportunities are available following the successful completion of our peak season operations.

 

Qualifications

• At least 23 years of age

• 2+ years of CDL Class A or Class B experience required

• Valid commercial Class A or Class B Driver’s License required

• Current DOT Medical Card

• Current HazMat endorsement is required, but Spirit will assist in obtaining the necessary endorsement if needed

• A history of safe driving

• Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Previous experience with material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, etc.) preferred

• Basic computer skills required

• Excellent communication skills and customer service acumen

This is a physically demanding position:

• Must be able to carry, pull, and/or lift up to 70 pounds

• Must be able to crouch, grasp, pull, kneel, stoop, and walk to perform certain job functions

• The incumbent will be exposed to hazardous fireworks materials
